After 'Cool Artists of the Week / Artistas de la Semana 2/12/18 - 2/16/18

Each week in our three After 'Cool classes, we recognize one of our students as an exceptional artist. This is someone who has given something of themselves that we may not have expected, and is chosen by both the Teaching Artists and Teen Mentors. To give a little taste of the excellent work these children are doing, here is our Artist of the Week showcase for the week of February 12th.

Cada semana en cada una de nuestras tres clases After 'Cool, reconocemos a uno de nuestros estudiantes como artista extraordinaria. Es alguien que ha dado de sí de una manera que nos sorprende, y lo escogen los Artistas de la Enseñanza y los Mentores Adolescentes. Para mejor entender el trabajo excelente que hacen estos niños, aquí presentamos nuestro escaparate de los Artistas de la Semana por la semana del 12 de Febrero.

Freddy

"You’re always trying your best in everything, and that’s what we ask: give it 100% into acting, even when it’s difficult." - Teen Mentor

"He’s brand new to After ‘Cool. You know what Freddy has all the time? A smile." - Teaching Artist

"When we come out the door when Crystal was playing the piano, he always reminds us how the song goes and starts singing, and sometimes he starts dancing." - Student

"Siempre das todo de ti en todo, y eso pedimos: que des 100% en la actuación, aunque sea difícil." - Mentor adolescente

"Freddy es nuevo a After 'Cool. ¿Saben lo que siempre tiene él? Una sonrisa." - Artista de la Enseñanza

"Cuando entramos la puerta y Crystal toca el piano, nos hace recordar la canción y empieza a cantar... a veces empieza a bailar." - Estudiante
