I was born in Sacramento, CA but now live in Angelino Heights. I carry the courage, strength and love of my ancestors. My wish for my community is a deep connection to our roots, courage from our elders, strong voices to speak clearly and wisdom to lead with grace and peace.

Nací en Sacramento, California, pero ahora vivo en Angelino Heights. Yo llevo el coraje, la fuerza y el amor de mis antepasados. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es una profunda conexión con nuestras raíces, el coraje de nuestros mayores, fuertes voces para hablar con claridad y sabiduría para conducir con la gracia y la paz.

Victor Vazquez (Playwright/Stage Manager/Dramaturgo-Jefe de Foro)*

I was born in Compton, CA and currently live in Angelino Heights. I carry a brave heart and am reminded to be fearless by those who have come before me. My wish for my community is to share and believe in the power of our stories.

Nací en Compton, CA y vivo Angelino Heights. Yo cargo un corazón valiente y mis antepasados me recuerdan de no tenerle miedo a nada. Mi deseo es que mi comunidad crea en el poder de sus historias.

Allegra Padilla (Community Engager/Auxilar de Comunidad) I was born in Los Angeles, CA at Kaiser Sunset hospital, and currently reside in Koreatown, LA.  The things I carry in my heart are the struggles and stories of those I have worked with over the years, and the dreams of my ancestors.  My wish for the community is to use art as a tool for healing and for that inspire others to create more spaces where imagination, dignity and creativity are the norm. Nací en Los Angeles, CA en el hospital Kaiser Sunset, y ahorita vivo en Koreatown, LA.  Yo cargo en mi corazón las luchas y historias de las personas con cual he trabajado durante los años, y los sueños de mis antepasados.  Mi deseo para mi comunidad es que usamos el arte para sanar y que inspiramos a los demás para crear mas espacios donde imaginación, dignidad y creatividad sean común.

Abel Flores Avalos (Hector) I was born in Mexico City and I live in Los Angeles, CA. I carry the memory of my parents, the love of my children and the desire to succeed for them. My wish for the community is that there is more communication amongst us and more interactions so that we are united. Nací en México D.F. y vivo en Los Ángeles, CA. Yo siempre llevo el recuerdo de mis padres, el amor de mis hijos y las ganas de salir adelante for ellos. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es que haya más comunicación entre nosotros y más convivencia para estar unidos entre sí.

Angélica Diaz (Federica) I was born in Mexico City, I now live in Silverlake, CA. I carry the love of my home country and the memory of the love for my father. My wish for the community is that we preserve our beautiful culture, with love and pride.  Peace and love. Nací en México, D.F., ahora vivo en Silverlake, CA. Yo siempre llevo el amor por mi país y el recuerdo y amor por mi padre. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es que preservemos nuestra hermosa cultura, con amor y orgullo.  Paz y amor.

Aurora Rodriguez (Ensemble/Ensamble) I was born in Puebla, Mexico and I live in Los Angeles, CA. I carry my love for my ancestors, my culture, the legends of my hometown, for example the story of the Popocatepetl volcano. My wish for the community is that programs like this continue, so that this is not the only play, may there be more. Nací en Puebla, México y vivo en Los Ángeles, CA. Yo siempre llevo el amor a mis antepasados, mi cultura, las leyendas de mi pueblo, por ejemplo el volcán del Popocatépetl.  Mi deseo para mi comunidad es que sigan programas como este para que no sea la única obra y se hagan mas.

Carlos Hernández-Mata (Musician/Músico) I was born in Colonia Santa Rosa, Mexico City, Mexico of Oaxcan roots and I live in Brookside, CA. The thing I carry is folkloric music within me because the verses capture universal emotions. My wish for my community is that people interact in a meaningful way, and that we are considerate of each other. Nací en la Colonia Santa Rosa, México City, México de raíces Oaxaqueños y vivo en Brookside, CA. Yo siempre llevo la música folclórica en mí porque los versos capturan emociones universales. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es que la gente interactúe en forma significativa y que seamos considerados unos a otros.

Carolina Vargas (Amanda) I was born in Torrance, CA and now live in my beautiful Boyle Heights. I always carry my backpack full of adventure and the love of my family. My dream for my community is more and more arts, peace and creative spaces for everyone, especially for children. Yes We Can! Yo nací en Torrance, CA y ahora vivo en mi lindo Boyle Heights. Yo siempre llevo el amor de mi familia y mi morral listo para las aventuras. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es más y más artes, paz y espacios de creatividad para todos, especialmente para los niños. ¡Si Se Puede!

Charlton Brio (Ensemble/Ensamble) I was born at 8:17 AM in a Libra star sign in the city of Hollywood, CA. I live three blocks north of USC. The thing I carry is an open heart that feels good living in LOVE to uplift my cosmic celestial Bruthas and Sistas. My wish for the community as a free Spirit is to remove judgment, doubt and false limiting beliefs...in order to wake them from their dream coma state. Nací a las 8:17 AM bajo el signo de Libra en la ciudad de Hollywood, CA. Vivo a tres cuadras al norte de la USC. Lo que llevo siempre es un corazón abierto que se siente bien vivir enamorado para elevar el espíritu de mis celestes y cósmicos hermanos y hermanas. Mi deseo para la comunidad como un espíritu libre es eliminar el juicio, la duda y las falsas creencias... para despertarlos de su sueño en estado de coma.

Dalia Canché (Carmen) I was born in Mérida, Yúcatan, Mexico but now I live in South Central Los Angeles. I always carry in my mind my beautiful Yucatan and the happiness of its people and love for my family. My dream for my community is that we become one and live with respect, harmony and tolerance towards all human beings, animals, and Nature. Yo nací en Mérida, Yucatán, México pero ahora vivo en el Sur Centro de Los Ángeles. Yo siempre llevo en la mente a mi lindo Yucatán y la alegría de su gente y el amor para mi familia. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es que nos organicemos en una sola alianza y vivir con respeto, armonía y tolerancia hacia todos los seres humanos, animales y la Naturaleza.

Earl I. Briones (Ensemble/Ensamble) I was born in Managua, Nicaragua, I live 3 blocks from USC.  The thing I carry is the desire to learn from the environment around me.  My wish for the community is to see where they are and for them to learn how to use what is around them. Nací en Managua, Nicaragua. Vivo a tres cuadras de la USC. Lo que me llevo es la lección que aprendo del mundo que me rodea. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es ver dónde están y ver cómo ellos pueden aprender a usar lo que está a su alrededor.

Gabriela Martinez (Ensemble/Ensamble) I was born in Mexico City, Mexico and I currently live in Los Angeles, CA. I always carry the memory of my family and my country. My desire for my community is to help it in whatever way I can. Yo nací en México DF, México y actualmente radico en Los Ángeles, CA. Yo siempre llevo el recuerdo de mi familia y de mi país. Mi deseo mi comunidad es el poder ayudar en lo que se me necesite.

Isabella Rodriguez (Ensemble/Ensamble) I was born and live in South Central Los Angeles. The thing I carry is my voice, dancing, courage and inner beauty. My wish for my community is a friendlier environment where we all respect each other and stop littering our streets. Nací en Los Ángeles, California y vivo en South Central Los Ángeles. Lo que llevo es mi voz, el baile, el valor y la belleza interior. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es un entorno amigable donde todos nos respetamos unos a otros y que dejen de ensuciar nuestras calles.

Ismael Ramirez-Hurtado (Jorge) I was born in Mexico City. I live in Culver City. I always carry inner joy. My dream for my community is to bring joy and share my experiences through fun. Yo naci en México City. Vivo en Culver City. Yo siempre llevo la alegría en la piel. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es llevar alegría y compartir mis vivencias por medio de la diversión.

Ivonne Rodriguez (Norma)   I was born in Los Angeles, Califaztlán and I live in South Central Los Angeles. The thing I carry is my mother’s courage and love for my three beautiful children. My wish for my community is that everyone find their voices, be happy and help out someone else. Yo nací en Los Ángeles, Califaztlán, vivo en el Sur centro de Los Ángeles. La cosa que yo llevo es el coraje de mi madre y el amor por mis tres hermosos hijos. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es que cada quien encuentre su voz, logre la felicidad y le eche la mano a alguien más.

Jacques Hurtado (Ignacio) I was born in beautiful Mexico City but now I live in exciting Los Angeles, CA. I always carry my contagious smile and a suitcase of dreams and papers! My dream for my community is to integrate and magnify it by cooperating with each and every one of its members. Being able to excel and proudly represent it. Yo nací en la Hermosa ciudad de México pero ahora vivo en la excitante ciudad de Los Ángeles, California. ¡Yo siempre llevo mi sonrisa contagiosa y una maleta con sueños y papeles! Mi deseo para mi comunidad es poder integrarme en ella y engrandecerla cooperando con todos y cada un de los miembros de esta. Poder sobresalir y orgullosamente representarla.

Jesús Castaños Chima (El Señor)* I was born in Culiacán, Sinaloa, México but now I dream in Hawthorne, CA. I always carry the conversations that I never had with my father and the warmth of my mother’s hands. My wish for my community is that they are more supportive among them and that they go to the theater more often. Yo nací en Culiacán, Sinaloa, México pero ahora sueño en Hawthrone, CA. Yo siempre llevo las conversaciones que nunca tuve con mi padre y el calor de las manos de mi madre. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es que sean más solidarios y que vayan más al teatro.

Liliana Vasquez (Esperanza) I was born in Santa Ana, El Salvador-raised in LA (North University Park) and I consider myself an Angelena. The thing I carry is a smile, an open mind and an open heart. I always carry a pen and some random stuff in a backpack. My music, camera and paper to write on. I live in the present. I am me and hope that everything I’ve experienced thus far leads me to positive roads. Love above all. My wish for my community is peace, economic freedom, diversity and beauty. Nací en Santa Ana, El Salvador, crecí en LA (University Park Norte) y yo me considero un Angelina. Lo que llevo es una sonrisa, una mente abierta y un corazón abierto. Siempre llevo una pluma y algunas cosas al azar en una mochila. Mi música, mi cámara y papel para escribir. Yo vivo en el presente. Yo soy yo y espero que todo lo que he experimentado hasta ahora me lleve por caminos positivos. El amor por encima de todo. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es la paz, la libertad económica, la diversidad y la belleza.

Loren Bustillo (Pajarita) I was born in El Salvador and I live in Koreatown, Los Angeles. I always carry the memories of my childhood years. My dream for my community is that they stay together with good projects and ideas. Yo naci en El Salvador y vivo en Koreatown, Los Angeles. Yo siempre llevo los recuerdos de mi niñez. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es que siempre haya unión en la comunidad y buenos proyectos e ideas.

Luis Alberto Valentan (Julio) I was born in Mexico, DF, Colonia Nueva Atzacualco and now I live in Los Angeles, CA. I always carry a great responsibility for the well-being of my children. My dream for my community is a healthier and renewed culture, and peace over all. Yo nací en México, D.F. Colonia Nueva Atzacualco y vivo en Los Ángeles, California. Yo siempre llevo una gran responsabilidad por el bienetar a mis hijos. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es una cultura mas sana, renovada y sobre todo en paz.

Maria de Lourdes Conde (La Boca) I was born in Mexico City, Colonia Mixcoac. I live in Los Angeles. I always carry my own harmony. I am humble and positive with creative thoughts. My wish for my community is they stop living in the past and discover their emotions and feelings inside out. Yo nací en México, D.F. Colonia Mixcóac. Vivo en Los Ángeles, es mi barrio. Yo siempre llevo mi propia armonía, pensamientos positivos, creativa, sencilla y humilde. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es que no vivan del pasado, al contrario, que se estén descubriendo en sus emociones y  sentimientos bellos del interior al exterior.

Maria de Lourdes González (Ensemble/Ensamble) I was born in Mexico City and I live in Koreatown. I always carry my daughters in my mind. My dream for my community is to show our cultural contributions here in the United States. Yo nací en la ciudad de México y vivo en el barrio coreano. Yo siempre llevo a mis hijas en mi pensamiento.  Mi deseo para mi comunidad es mostrar nuestro aporte cultural aquí, en la Estados Unidos.

Maria Ortiz Villarreal (Ensemble/Ensamble) I was born in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico and now I live in Los Angeles, CA. I always carry a smile and have the desire to see my family again in Mexico and my children in my heart. My dream for my community is to show the best of me to every person and be more social person with everyone regardless of their nationality. Yo nací en Torreón Coahuila, México y ahora vivo en Los Ángeles, CA. Yo siempre llevo la sonrisa y la ilusión de volver a ver a mi familia en México, en mi corazón a mis hijos. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es enseñar lo mejor de mí a todas las personas y ser más sociales con todas las nacionalidades.

Nicolás P. García (Payaso) I was born in Michoacan and now I live in Glendale, CA. I always carry a joke with me to make myself and those around me laugh. My dream for my community is to be happy no matter how but without hurting others. Yo nací en Michoacán, vivo en Glendale, CA. Yo siempre llevo un chiste, chascarrillo-para reír y hacer reír. Tony Dúran  (Payaso)* I was born in Ensenada, Mexico and now live in Los Angeles. I always carry love for others. My dream for my community is that they stay together and be more tolerant. Yo nací en Ensenada, México y hoy vivo en Los Ángeles. Yo siempre llevo amor hacia los demás. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es que sean más unidos y tolerantes.

Veronica  C. Flores (Ensemble/Ensamble) I was born in Zaroalco de Torres, Jalisco and now I live in Los Angeles, CA. My loved ones are in my thoughts and in my heart but especially my children. My dream for my community is that they are better in all aspects and senses. Yo nací en Zaroalco de Torres, Jalisco y vivo en Los Ángeles, CA. Yo llevo a mis seres queridos en mi pensamiento y mi corazón pero sobre todo a mis hijos. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es que sea mejor en todos aspectos y sentidos.

Yolanda Flores Baza (Ensemble/Ensamble) I was born in Mexico City and I live in Los Angeles, CA. I always carry a smile for everyone and a joke to brighten the world and always a positive message to every person. My dream for my community is that we continue to live in harmony and to stay together for future projects. Yo nací en México City y vivo en Los Ángeles, CA. Yo siempre llevo una sonrisa para todos o un chiste para alegrar al mundo y siempre un mensaje positivo para las personas. Mi deseo para mi comunidad es que sigamos viviendo en armonía y seguir en futuros proyectos.
